Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using Viking Tools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You may use the site if you are old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, or if a parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. What the site is

Viking Tools offers free browser tools for players of the game Valheim, such as a sign editor. Viking Tools is an unofficial fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Iron Gate AB or Coffee Stain Publishing. Valheim and related names are trademarks of their respective owners.

3. Using the tools

• You may use the tools for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Do not misuse the site: no attacks, scraping at a harmful rate, attempts to break into it, or anything that disrupts it for others.
• The tools may change, move or disappear at any time.

4. Acceptable use of what you write

The text you write for signs stays in your browser. We never receive it, so we cannot see or moderate it. You alone are responsible for what you put on signs in the game.

Do not use the tools to create hateful, harassing, threatening or illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights. The game's own rules and your server's rules also apply.

5. Your content

You keep all rights in what you write. Because it never leaves your device, we do not use, copy or license it. Signs saved in your browser can be lost if you clear your browser data, so copy anything you want to keep elsewhere.

6. Our content

The site's design, text and code are protected by copyright. Game names and any trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the tools are for.

7. Accuracy of information

Guides and tag information are based on observation of the game, are not official documentation and may be wrong or become outdated after a game update. Check the result in the game.

8. Links, advertising and donations

The site may link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Some pages show ads, marked "Advertisement", delivered by Google. Advertisers, not us, are responsible for their ads and the sites they lead to; showing an ad does not mean we recommend it.

You can support the project through Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, and they do not buy you any service, feature or priority. Those services handle your payment under their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@vikingtools.eu with: what you believe is infringing and where it is on the site, why you hold the rights, and your contact details. We will review it and remove or fix what is justified.

10. Warranties and liability

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and may be unavailable at times. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from using the site.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health, or your mandatory consumer rights. Where the law of your country does not allow part of this section, that part applies only as far as the law permits.

11. Suspension and termination

We may take reasonable steps, such as blocking addresses, to stop anyone who breaks these terms or harms the site. You can stop using it at any time; clearing the site's data in your browser removes everything it stored on your device.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Spain. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live or your right to bring a claim in its courts.

If something goes wrong, please email support@vikingtools.eu first; most problems can be solved without a dispute.

13. General

If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If we do not enforce a term right away, that does not mean we give it up. The English version prevails over any translation.

14. Changes

We may update these terms; the dates at the top show the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms. For material changes we will change the dates at the top and record the change in the list below.
